As a primary care provider, an acupuncturist can assess, diagnose, and treat your condition through a combination of methods that may include: acupuncture, acupressure, electro acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxabustion, ear seeds, prescribing herbal formulas, and recommending diet and lifestyle changes. Disease and emotional distress is seen as disharmony of the organ systems, and/or network vessel functions within the body caused by deficiency, stagnation, or excess. The goal of acupuncture is to restore balance and enable the body's natural healing processes to work optimally.
